5 Writing Tips For New Writers

Starting off your writing career can seem frustrating if you have no idea where to start. Many pick a certain genre of writing, while others pick a type of career. You can decide to write romance novels while someone else may decide to work for a news paper. No matter what you choose for your writing career here are 5 writing tips for new writers.

1) Love the type of writing you do. If you're not into travel writing don't start doing it. There is nothing more frustrating than starting a new career doing something you don't like. If you're not happy doing it, you will not succeed at it.

2) Don't be confined to a space. As a writer you can find inspiration anywhere, a park, pool, library, coffee shop, home office, etc. Think outside the box. The world is your workspace. Use it to come up with beautiful stories.

3) Write for yourself. When you are excited about writing your next story it shows in your work. You should write things that bring joy to your story. You can write with passion and drive. Chose to write about things that you enjoy so others can enjoy them too.

4) Work through your fear of success or failure. Being afraid people will like your story or hate your story shouldn't determine your story. Everyone will have an opinion and some will love your work, while others hate it. That is why it is important to love what you do. Don't focus on what others will love.

5) Practice summarizing. When someone asks you what you book is about let them know in a short term. Don't tell them the long drawn out story. Tell them a summary and let them use their imagination. This allows them to be intrigued and you not to feel obligated to read the book. If you have your book summary down it will be easy to sell it and suggest it.

Writing is a whole world of mystery, love, travel, beliefs and habits. You create every character, voice and scene. You will paint the picture of your story for others. When you do it best is when others can see your vision and embrace the story. Your writing will inspire others. Helpful tips, tricks and ideas to help you write your story- Happy Writing!
