Ice cream shops are nothing like they use to be. Now you can get ice cream in between donuts, cereal on top and so much more. I am a real ice cream lover. Until about two years ago, I would eat ice cream right before going to bed, EVERY NIGHT. So this blog about ice cream was more enjoyable than you think. BUT - It's not just about the ice cream. It's about these cool places creating something fresh and vibrant. Here are 7 ice cream shops in AZ that make over the top ice cream concoctions you'll love.

1) The Yard Milkshake Bar - This cute downtown spot has ice cream shakes and cones/bowls so creative you don't want to eat them. They look amazing and taste even better. I had The Mermaid, a large birthday cake ice cream with pink marshmallow drizzle and so much more. The tail is a piece of chocolate.

2) The Cereal Killerz Kitchen AZ - Located in Goodyear, this crazy cereal ice cream shop has cereal I've never even heard of. Go in and try a milk shake with your favorite cereal or have ice cream topped with crazy cool cereal concoctions. I had the strawberry ice cream with strawberry drizzle whip cream and fruity pebbles the first time I went. The second time I went I got the Ferrero Rocher shake and the third time I went I got the peanut better lover shake. As you can tell, in the last month, I've enjoyed their ice cream.

3) The Sicilian Butcher - This is a restaurant/ice cream bakery shop. One part of it is the restaurant and the other is an ice cream shop that also sells freshly made Sicilian baked goods. I ate there yesterday and after lunch went to the ice cream shop and was amazed at how fresh and flavorful their ice cream was.

4) Rewind Ice Cream - Boba - Tea Shop - This Chandler ice cream shop has more to offer than just ice cream. They have boba, and matcha tea. The matcha is actually good for you in many ways. Try the strawberry matcha latte. They also offer crazy cool cereal toppings for their ice cream favorites.

5) Zuzu Restaurant - This hotel is already chic and hip, like a 70's vibe in a good way. Now add the Zuzu restaurant that offers crazy cool ice cream spectaculars and you're in heaven. One of the favorites is peaches and cream. This one is a fresh peach shake, topped with peach rings, mini peach cobbler and whipped cream. Can you scream I LOVE ICE CREAM.

6) Scooptacular - This Laveen ice cream shop has been hand crafting their ice cream for a few years now. The ice cream is fresh and sweet. They have flavors you probably won't find anywhere else like the Laveen Concrete, Cookie Monster and grasshopper. I've been in so many times, I can't recall all the flavors I've tried, but one that stands out is the strawberry cheesecake. Check out your favorite flavor.

7) Fat Daddy's Boba Tea - This Scottsdale ice cream shop has gelato, ice cream, boba tea, and much more. Enjoy best sellers like the Fat Daddy's cookie cup with a macaroon cookie and fire roasted marshmallow on top or create one with all your favorites.
