A Night At Hand Cut Chophouse

I have a list of restaurants in my phone I want to try. As I drive by places and see the name I will take a photo of it and add it to my "restaurant list". Before the Valentine's weekend my husband and I wanted to try something on my list so we chose Hand Cut Chophouse in Scottsdale. I'd passed it a few times and didn't think much of it, however, I was glad we decided to finally try it.

The atmosphere was epic. The music was cranked, the place was packed and I felt like I was in a New York Friday night Sex in the City scene, only instead of my girls, I had the love of my life already. I loved the decor the place just seemed to be relaxed and inviting. Now on to the food......

Price: I started off with a Strawberry Crush and side of hand cut wings (garlic & herb honey). My husband had a Corona. Our meal consisted of a ribeye ($40), Crab mac n cheese (($18), Salmon ($26), Another Strawberry Crush ($26 for both), grilled asparagus ($9), and cheesecake ($10). Our total bill was $162.08. The wings were ($15), and the Corona was ($6). I normally don't think the price is too high, but I was a bit surprised to have such a high bill here. I guess because it felt more like a bar than a high scale restaurant.

Presentation: The food came out looking and smelling amazing. There was no over the top garnish. Just a sprinkle of parsley here and there or maybe a grilled lemon.

Quality: The food was good. No doubt. The Strawberry Crush was so good I had two. The salmon was cooked to perfection and had a lot of flavor. The cheesecake was simple and fulfilling. At the end of the night I was full and happy.

Quantity: The sizes are moderate. They aren't big and shareable, except the sides (they are shareable sides). The crab mac n cheese and asparagus came in shareable sizes.

Overall, this place was amazing. I've been to a few restaurants like this, were the main dish is yours and you share the sides, however, none made me feel invited and as relaxed as this place. The decor and atmosphere were just fun. I give it a 10 out of 10. Just be careful if your on a budget because you can rack up a bill here pretty quickly. Let us know about your experience at Hand Cut Chophouse. If you don't already follow me on Instagram to see more photos and meal places. Another fabulous meal to share with you wonderful people. Happy Eating.
