After being closed the last two years the Arizona State Fair is back open and in full effect. Here are a few things you need to know before going or returning again.

The fair will end October 30th 2021. Normally, it stays open until just after the first week in November, but this year their time is limited. So, if you haven't made it there yet, check it out soon. It will not be open for Halloween night. Some families take their children for a night of fun on Halloween, but it will be closed this year. The fair is located in Phoenix at 1826 W. McDowell Rd. There will be no major concerts at the coliseum this year. The fair has limited their activities to shows (that don't require closed in facilities) food and rides.
The fair has a lot of physic readers this year. If you ever want to get your reading now is the time. The fair has at least 5 different physic reading booths. One of the more interesting booths at the fair is Modern Luxx Baby by Angela Mendoza. She has a mobile boutique for mom & baby clothing. The clothes are unique and creative. You will not find them at Target or Walmart. Check out this cute and crafty boutique while at the fair.
Parking for the fair, off the fair lot, has reached $50 per car. If you want to save money park at one of the two designated fair grounds parking lots. There is a VIP section you can reserve on line for only $25 per car. This entrance is located at the north side of the fair. The entrance on 19th Avenue and Monte Vista is only $12.
Entrance to the fair has become more affordable ranging from $12 regular admission to $10 for kids and elders 55 and older. All kids under 4 are free.

The food has gotten a bit more expensive. Most things range between $14-$18. For the large Cajun turkey leg the cost was $19.54 with tax. A 3 amigos margarita is $16 including tax. The taco Indian fry bread was $14. Make sure you are ready to spend money if you're hungry.
The tickets for rides are now given via a ticket. This can help with keeping track of how many tickets guest have as well as less handling by the workers. Although the fair is open, Covid is still a factor and they are working to make sure everyone is safe.
One thing that is not being done at the fair is wiping down rides after guest get off of them. Make sure to bring your own sanitation wipes if you want to be extra careful. Not one vendor wiped down their ride after a group of riders got off. If you don't wipe it down when you get on then make sure you clean your hands when you get off.
They have a lot of rides this year. Crazy coaster, a wild mouse ride with twist and turns. Zero gravity, a wheel that straps riders in and spins fast pushing them against the walls and so many more. The games average about 9 tickets per game. For more details about the Arizona State Fair call 602-252-6771 or visit their website at https://azstatefair.com.
The Arizona State Fair is a family fun place to enjoy rides, food and music. You can shop in crafty booths and enjoy the once a year food. If you get a chance to make it out there send us a few photos and let us know how your experience was. Stay safe, stay focused and stay traveling. Happy Travels.
