Cabin Whiskey & Grill

We love checking out places that don't belong to a big chain. Cabin Whiskey & Grill in Glendale, Arizona is one of those places. Located in the thriving Park West shopping center, this restaurant has the cabin in the woods vibe. Not only is it a cool restaurant, it has a nightlife as well.

They host parties on their large, cabin inspired patio. The green grassy look on the patio deck walls creates a simple, yet comforting look for the restaurant. The inside looks like a true cabin with wood walls and stuffed animals on the wall. Guest are welcomed to capture the full ambience of the decor with photos.

According to their website, from 2pm to 6pm is Happy Hour - 1/2 priced shareables, Entire wine selection $4.75, $7 Signature cocktails, $3 Domestic Pints, $4 Craft/Imports Pints, $7 Mugs of Beer, $4.50 Craft Well.

This is the only restaurant for the Cabin Whiskey & Grill. Although surrounded by other great food places such as Flemings and Hash Kitchen, this single owned grill is doing great. Upon arrive when they opened there were already a hand full of guests. We weren't greeted right away, as someone was away from the greeter station, however, all service was great.

The food was amazing. It took a minute to come out, but we figured it was because they just opened. We had the Pastrami Burger, Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta with a Fuzzy Cosmo. The total bill was $55.37 (not including tip). The Fuzzy Cosmo was delicious. A great price for two people with an alcoholic beverage.

They will be hosting a New Years party this year. If you have nothing else planned you may want to check out this idea. Food, drinks and a comforting cabin feel. The party is from 11am to 2am. They will be open all day and night.

With a bar inside and outside you will not have to worry about getting drinks. They have a full bar so you can try the specialty drinks on the menu or ask them to create your own favorite.

Overall, this is a cool idea for a restaurant and we were glad to feature them in our food section. When any business can perform and sustain during a crisis and still stand we want to promote them. The last two years have been filled with uncertainty and we appreciate stand alone food gigs. Check them out and let us know how you enjoyed the atmosphere and food.
