When you look at the situations you're in, the people you spend quality time with, your goals and aspirations your defining your belief system. A belief system is what you truly believe about yourself and others. We talk to ourselves all day, but are we telling ourselves the truth? It is true that experiences and perceptions have a lot to do with our BS.

A simple way to define your BS (Belief System) is to see how you define yourself, abilities, and the way you approach life's experiences. If you believe you're able to do something, most of the time you do it, if you don't believe in yourself then you simply don't even try.
It's time to start calling yourself out on your own BS and stop thinking other people make those decisions for you. For example, if you are always getting upset when you hang out with a certain group of people, why do you keep hanging out with them. Does your BS tell you they are the only people who will accept you. Sometimes we feel that we aren't good enough to grow and change. It could be you're afraid to let people down, or what they might think about you changing.
I am currently reading a book by Iyanla Vanzant called Acts of Faith and it has inspirational daily readings. That is what made me decide to blog about this topic. I was asking myself am I a true believer in the best attributes about me. The funny thing is, if you don't ask yourself the questions, you may never have the answer. It isn't always who you hang around - sometimes you have to ask yourself why you feel the way you do, think the way you do, and if you believe in yourself. What do you really believe about yourself and others around you?

Calling yourself out on your own BS is the best way to create the life you want. Don't blame, depend or wait for anyone else to do it. This year is the year you take control of your own life. No one can get in touch with your BS but you. If you feel that. your BS is negative you can change it. It is easy to speak one thing and think something different. If you tell yourself you are an author - you will write a book. If you keep telling yourself you want to write a book - you may never do it. Believe in yourself. You don't have to accomplish everything over night to believe in yourself.
Is your BS keeping your from growing, changing and becoming the person you want to be. Look around and ask yourself if what you see is tru to the best you. Check out your immediate surroundings, are the conditions, people and situations your "best life"? If not why aren't you aiming for more? These conditions, surroundings and people are the reflection of your own BS.
