After Christmas, but before the new year two of my ladies and I decided to have a ladies Sunday-Funday. It had been a while since we hung out and decided that Westgate, Glendale, AZ would be the best location. We had a few drinks and an appetizer at Fat Tuesday while spilling the juice on our lives for the past few years. After taking pictures and reminiscing on the past we headed to Kabuki Japanese Restaurant still in the Westgate area. This restaurant has that Japanese elegant feel. There is a chief behind glass preparing food and the black and red colors transform the universe around you and you dine.

With cocktails that scream "ladies night" we kept them coming. Kabuki has over 17 locations in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas. I ate things here that I've never tried before like the spicy garlic edamame. It was spicy but delicious. Okay so here's the deal:

Price: The total bill was about $92.00. We had a total of three drinks, Boop-oop-a-doo, and 2 sake bombs, 2 servings of the chicken wing karaage, California rolls, and a whole lot of uncooked fish that I didn't eat. I have to admit I loved the place, but I stuck with things that were cooked. My girls were digging in to the other platters with freshly cooked rolls with raw salmon, and other fish on top. For everything we got this was a great deal.
Presentation: When the food came out it was so pretty we didn't want to eat it. The drinks came with berries and garnish, the food was nicely plated, with garnish and it was so colorful. Great presentation.
Quality: The food was amazing. It tasted fresh and the chicken appetizers were crispy and full of flavor. The ladies told me the raw sushi was delicious.
Quantity: There was plenty of food. I got 6 rolls for the California rolls, but the other plates had about 10 rolls. For the three of us we had plenty of food. I wouldn't say it is over or under. I believe that it is just the right amount.

With it being Sunday there was no happy hour so your bill could be cheaper if you go durning a happy hour time. This is a nice place for couples, ladies and everyone to relax. In Arizona there is one in Glendale and Tempe. All the other locations are in the states listed above. Try something new and if you're already a sushi lover this is the place to try. Another fabulous meal to share with you wonderful people. Happy Eating.
