Ladies Night @ Toca Madera Scottsdale

Last night I did my monthly ladies night dinner with two elementary school friends and we decided on Toca Madera in Scottsdale. I normally do my research to see what type of food they have, but this time I just showed up. Surprised that it was a high end Mexican food place I was intrigued to find out what they had to offer. Here are the tacos and tequilas of it all:
Price: The total bill for all three of us was $139.38. We had a Hibiscus Margarita $16, Glass of Sangria $15, Sprite $4, Acqua Panna $9, Seabass Ensenada Tacos $15, Street corn $9, Chicken Enchiladas $30, Scottish Salmon $31. For the food quality and amount I feel they were overpriced. By overpriced I mean double what they should be.
Presentation: The food came out looking amazing. Perfection when it comes to how their food comes out.
Quality: My counterparts were not impressed with their food. I on the other hand liked my food, except, our server asked if I wanted my enchiladas a little spicy and I said yes. When I took my first bit, I lost my breath at the heat coming from the enchiladas. I could only eat one. Be careful with the extra spicy option.
Quantity: The portions are very small. They come out looking great but you may need more than one serving to get full.
One of the things that brings this place to life is the decor. It is beautifully decorated, but don't try to have a conversation in this place. The music is loud. Overall, it's a beautiful restaurant, but I can't say I would recommend it to others. The food was high, in small portions, and the music is so loud you need a blow-horn to have a conversation. If you want to go just to listen to music and and enjoy the atmosphere it could work. Although this was a great atmosphere with beautiful decor and fire dancing waitresses, I don't recommend it.
