Top 7 Things To Do In AZ As Summer Ends

As summer ends and kids are headed back to school, college is back open and the work hours begin to become longer to make up for summer vacations and time with family, here are a few things to do before reality sets back in. Summer is when many people travel because their kids are out of school. Here are 7 things to do in Arizona as summer ends and won't be as crowded.

#1) Sedona - Slide Rock- In Sedona the temperatures are lower. The water flowing down these rocks is cool and refreshing. Take a trip up north and enjoy the red rock views, weather and Slide Rock.

#2) Grand Canyon - South Rim - Take a nice ride up to the Grand Canyon and enjoy the views. You can stop at overpasses before heading to the main area to overlook the South Rim of the canyon.

#3) Antelope Canyon - This sandstone slot canyon is filled with beautiful colors and designs. Located on Nagajo land you can visit the upper, lower or entire canyon.

#4) Organ Stop Pizza - When I was little we use to take field trips here. I remember it being "alive" and "vibrant". Have a family day and visit this pizza place with organs all around playing music.

#5) Historic Route 66 Museum - If you are intrigued with Route 66 and all the details this is an exciting place to visit. Get a piece of history and learn what happened to this famous route.

#6) Oatman Ghost Town - On Historic Route 66 there is a place called Oatman Ghost Town to explore and see all the fascinating historic ghost history and shops. Hear about the gold mines, gun fights and wild animals.

#7) Queen Creek Olive Mill - Allow your tastebuds to try fresh, delightful and tasty foods while sitting in a little paradise. You can purchase food to eat, shop for home and listen to live music.

No matter what you choose to do as the summer ends, remember that the overall goal is to feel refreshed, rejuvenated and have quality time with your family. Stay safe, stay focused and stay traveling. Happy Travels.
