The 4th of July is a time of fireworks, fun and food. You find a safe and affordable place to watch the fireworks as the sun goes down. You may go to a friends house for a water balloon fight during the day before going to watch fireworks. The one thing you will definitely do is eat. So here are 8 food ideas for the 4th Of July feast.

#1) Hot links - Many people want a fast and easy way to have a fulfilling meal. Hot links (chicken, beef, pork, vegan) are all a great way to enjoy the holiday weekend. There are all types of hot links so be sure to watch for the type of meat. You can eat these links with bread or a hot dog bun.
#2) Potato Salad - This is a bbq favorite. Many people tend to bbq for the holiday and they usually bring potato salad as a side item.
#3) Baked Beans - This is a sweet, savory item to add to your 4th of July food ideas. You can grab a can of bushes baked beans and add brown sugar, mustard, ketchup, and honey.
#4) BBQ Ribs - A few slabs of ribs on the grill is a 4th of July favorite. You can serve them with BBQ sauce or plain. Be sure to make sure they are cooked enough to fall off the bone, but not burnt.

#5) Pasta Salad - Not everyone eats potato salad. Another great side item for the 4th of July is pasta salad. Pasta salad is a quick, refreshing way to serve during the holiday.
#6) Watermelon - Cold, sliced watermelon is a great refreshing side to serve during the hot holiday. Get a watermelon and slice it into handle holdable pieces, then put it in the refrigerator overnight. Serve the next day during the cookout.
#7) Grilled Chicken - Grilled chicken tenders is a healthy way to dine on the 4th of July. You can season the chicken the night before, or morning of the bbq. Then grill them right as guests start to arrive (chicken tenders cook fast). Serve with one of the sides listed in this article.
#8) Grilled Corn on the cob - Seasoning corn on the cob and placing it on the grill is a fast and easy way to have delicious corn on the cob. Right after it comes off the grill add butter to it for the best taste.
