Travel To The Coca-Cola Factory In Atlanta, GA

Just a few weeks ago, I traveled to Atlanta, Georgia where my oldest daughter moved for her job and during the week long stay we visited some interesting places, with the

Coca-Cola Factory being one of them. When you think about Coca-Cola you may think of the great taste or red can, but there is so much more to their story.

This brand has created jobs for decades, since 1886, when pharmacist, Dr. John S. Pemberton, created a creative soft drink that could be sold at soda fountains. The formula to the coca-cola has been secret for years and no two people besides the Dr knew how to create it. There were always two specialist, one knew one half of the formula and the other knew the other half.

The formula has been locked away and today is locked in the vault located at the Coca-Cola Factory in Atlanta, GA.

Just two years after creating Coca-Cola Dr. Pemberton passed away, but not without selling parts of his company to others to leave a legacy.

When you tour the factory you will have a chance to see the vault where the formula is kept, see some of the first bottles made, view the process of filling a coke because they have a real working factory, and most important you will be able to taste different sodas by Coca-Cola from different places. We tasted soda from Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America and North America.

One of my favorite parts of the factory was being able to capture the essence of the product throughout history. They have rooms with historic Coca-Cola memorabilia so you can see how the soda started to where it is today.
