Also known as the Sundance Film Festival held at Park City, Utah every year in January. This years film festival will be January 20th - 30th 2022. The purpose of the film festival is to attract filmmakers to Utah and promote American independent film.



The cost to submit an early film submission is anywhere between $40-$65. These are for short films. The first step is to submit a submission form online and send a copy of your film to the address provided.



According to their website the Sundance Institute is a non-profit organization that provides a wide variety of programs and initiatives for independent artist and storytellers working in film, theatre, and digital media.


This years festival will be available in person and online. This is where you will see storytellers come to life through film and animation. This festival brings in hundreds of celebrities to Utah yearly. Last year, although the festival wasn’t happening, celebrities such as Shane O’Neil was spotted skiing on the slopes with her children during the typical Sundance Film Festival time.


Since 1985, this film festival has been launching careers for film makers, actors and performers all over America. Tickets for the festival range from $20, a single person up to $750 for a full festive package, including 10 tickets to in-person or online feature film screenings during the entire festival. If you’re an Utah resident you save money for the Salt Lake City Package costing $500. You get 10 in-person tickets to see feature films with early access to ticket selection and the Explorer Pass also included in the Festival Package. If you can’t make it to Utah you can watch online for as low as $50.


Park City Utah is welcoming and ready to bring new talent to the world. The theater is located in downtown Park City Utah near bars, restaurants and shops. You can explore the heritage by visiting local book stores and museums. This film festival will unleash new prospects to the world.
