Would You Marry Yourself?

We all have the friend that is looking for that perfect someone. They are going to every singles event in town and still can't seem to find that "perfect" someone. It could be you and not a friend that is soul searching for the mate that will be the picture perfect person in your life. Where are they? Why haven't they come running to your aid and sweeping you off your feet? Have you taken a look in the mirror and asked yourself, would I marry you?

Here's the thing. Perfect is a fictional person we have made up in our heads. That person can't exist unless you decide that you, yourself are perfect in whatever way YOUR perfect is. What you are missing can't be supplied from another person. If you are unhappy, unfulfilled or just not pleased with yourself, you can't expect to find that in someone else.

How can you be looking for someone who is fit and athletic and you sit at home eating chips on the sofa. It just isn't going to happen. How can you find your someone and be adventurous if you don't ever travel. Don't get me wrong there are many ways to meet people, but you have to figure out what your mate and "perfect" match is. You also have to put out what you want to receive.

If you're not happy, focused and fulfilled - STOP LOOKING. Take time to ask yourself would you marry yourself. If the answer is no, work on yourself, mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially until you are ready to marry yourself. When that time comes you will have the self-love and self-acceptance and that perfect someone who will complement your life and vice versa will walk into your life.

We get carried away with movies, other people's lives and being lonely that we give in and accept a person that can be just as unhappy as us and that relationship doesn't last. Write down at least 6 things you find "perfect" in yourself and that your mate would enjoy. Think about the long run and how happy you will be finding that true someone and not a stand in person. So happy to share this with you loving folks. Keep loving & living.
